And then, one fine day, I find that I’m expected to write at least 300 words about the 7th birthday of the Crappy Tuesdays sessions of a a well-known venue in Barcelona which I have hardly ever attended. Actually, in my whole life, I might have been to the Sala Apolo no more than three or four times. I do remember having been there for Kimbra and for Beach House and only once for their DJ sessions. It was back in the early 2000s on a weekday. Whether it was on a Tuesday or not, no idea. It certainly wasn’t a Crappy Tuesday session, seeing that they’re celebrating their 7th birthday only, but it was some sort of alternative music DJ live event. Anyway, the Sala Apolo is one of those legendary venues that anyone who likes listening to alternative music in the middle of the week should visit… and high time I did it myself again.
